SBS Building Health Inspection
Buildings today have become tight boxes and while heating costs have generally reduced illness, allergies and asthma has increased. Building health inspection provide a detailed analysis of buildings to assess where or what components or contents are reducing the quality of life or perhaps causing health problems. Building health inspection covers many facets but typically includes the measurement or presence of mould, allergy causing products or contaminates levels of VOC and CO² carbon dioxide. Building health inspections are increasingly becoming a requirement as doctors often fail to recognise building related illness. The emergence and development of SBS sick building syndrome has been almost in line with the quest for energy efficient buildings and homes and although running costs have reduced in terms of energy requirements the effects of SBS has resulted in many days absenteeism or reduced production.
